Is it worth it to risk our lives for the thrill of climbing mountains?
When you stand at the bottom of a mountain looking up, it can be hard to understand why somebody would want to climb to the top. It is a challenge both physically and mentally and can be dangerous. So why do people climb mountains?
For some, it is the physical challenge and the sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching the summit. For others, it is about being in nature and enjoying the scenery from a different perspective.
We ask our members why do they climb mountains and here are their answers.
